Variation of global seismic activity with time
This study investigates whether global seismic activity has been affected by global warming and sunspot activity, and concludes that it hasn't. Global seismic activity does not however appear to be random, and a spectral analysis indicates several cycles may be present. A multi-sinusoid curvefit model has been developed to predict future global seismic activity.
